Egypt’s National Election Authority has announced that voting inside the country for 19 parliamentary districts—previously canceled during the first phase of the House of Representatives elections—will take place on December 3 and 4.
The announcement was made by Counselor Ahmed Bendari, director of the authority’s executive body, in a statement to Extra News. The rerun follows earlier decisions to void results in those districts due to various violations and procedural concerns, requiring the election process to be repeated in full.
The authority is expected to release additional details on candidate lists, polling stations, and logistical arrangements ahead of the new voting dates.
