Egypt, Saudi Arabia stress necessity of seeking sustainable truce, permanent ceasefire in Gaza

President Sisi and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman renewed their determination to continue coordination and intensify efforts aimed at maintaining international peace and security.

During Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to Egypt, they exchanged views on issues of concern to the two countries on the regional and international arenas, and affirmed their intention to enhance cooperation and joint coordination, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic said on his official page on  “Facebook”.

Regarding developments in the situation in Palestine, the two sides expressed their deep concern about the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, and the brutal war that the Strip is witnessing in which more than 150,000 innocent civilians were killed and injured as a result of the heinous attacks of the Israeli occupation authorities.

They also stressed the necessity of seeking a truc, a sustainable and permanent ceasefire, lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip, and protecting civilians.
