On Thursday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 803 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 366634.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 20919 nationwide after the ministry announced 42 deaths.
About 591 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 304747
The country’s fourth wave of the virus is in full force, with daily cases seeing a tenfold increase than what was recorded at the end of July.
The government announced last month that Egypt has administrated a total of 35 million coronavirus vaccine doses. All types of vaccines have been provided by Egypt to fight the pandemic.
About 788 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 297,536.
