On Tuesday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 378 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 290,773.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 16,811 nationwide after the ministry announced 10 deaths.
About 674 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 243,297.
Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
