Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Badr Abdelatty, met on Wednesday with Palestinian Prime Minister (PM) and Foreign Minister (FM) Mohammad Mustafa.

During the meeting, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's full support for the Palestinian government and its reform plans.

He emphasized the importance of politically and economically empowering the Palestinian Authority and enabling it to assume its responsibilities in Gaza as part of the occupied Palestinian territories.

Abdelatty also outlined Egypt’s ongoing efforts to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the implementation of its three-phase timeline.

Regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza, both sides stressed the urgency of advancing early recovery programs, removing debris, and accelerating the delivery of humanitarian aid without forcing Palestinians to leave the Strip.

For his part, Palestinian PM presented a comprehensive plan for early recovery and debris removal in collaboration with international institutions, paving the way for reconstruction and the restoration of normal life—a vision that was met with full agreement.

Moreover, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s unwavering support for the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, underscoring the necessity of achieving a permanent and just political solution through the two-state solution.

He reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as the only way to prevent recurring cycles of violence once and for all.
