The Petroleum Products Pricing Committee took a decision to raise the prices of all types of gasoline.
Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum, issued the decision regarding the new pricing, to be implemented starting Friday morning.
The Minister of Petroleum set the price of a liter of gasoline 90 at 10 pounds, the price of a liter of gasoline 92 at 11.50 pounds, and the price of a liter of gasoline at 95 at 12.5 pounds.
Meantime, the government’s request to increase the price of diesel was rejected so that its price remained at 8.25 pounds per liter.
The government’s fuel spending would also be rationalized by 50%.
