Egypt, Qatar, UD call on Israel, Hamas to conclude ceasefire agreement

A joint press statement issued by the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, and the United States of America revealed the three mediators’ call on Israel and Hamas to accept a ceasefire.

The statement said: “The United States of America, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the State of Qatar collectively, as mediators in the ongoing discussions to ensure a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages and detainees, call on both Hamas and Israel to conclude an agreement that embodies the principles outlined by President Biden on May 31.” 2024”.

It added: "These principles bring together the demands of all parties in a deal that serves multiple interests, and would immediately end the long suffering of all Gazans, as well as the long suffering of the hostages and their families."

"  This agreement provides a roadmap for a permanent ceasefire and ending the crisis."
