Brazilian media reports have revealed negotiations between the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and its Egyptian counterpart to arrange a friendly match between the Seleção and the Pharaohs in November.

According to Brazilian outlet ESTADAO 150, with Brazil already securing qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the CBF has begun assembling a strong preparatory program to ready the squad for the tournament.

The report adds that Brazil’s October friendlies are already in motion, with Carlo Ancelotti’s men set to face South Korea in Seoul and Japan in Tokyo.

In November, however, the focus will shift toward African opposition, with Egypt, South Africa, Tunisia, and Morocco all under consideration. The match is expected to be played in Europe.

Looking ahead to March 2026, the Brazilian federation is planning high-profile fixtures against top European sides, either on the continent or potentially in the Middle East, as part of their World Cup build-up.

Meanwhile, Egypt are just three points away from booking their own ticket to the 2026 World Cup, needing a win over Burkina Faso in the eighth round of African qualifiers to seal qualification.
