The Egyptian court for urgent matters accepted on Sunday the lawsuit filed by the head of a committee to seize the Brotherhood’s assets, including 89 Brotherhood leaders and members, and transfer them to the state treasury.
The Committee to seize the terrorist group’s Funds filed an urgent case asking the judiciary to enable it to dispose the funds of 89 terrorist leaders of the Brotherhood group and transfer them to the state’s public treasury, according to the Middle East News Agency.
The lawsuit included the heirs of the ousted President Mohamed Morsi, Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badie and his deputy Khairat el-Shater, as well as leaders Safwat Hegazi, Mohamed Al-Biltagi, Mohsen Radi, Asad Al-Sheikha, the mufti of the terrorist group Abdel Rahman al-Barr, Ayman Hodhod, and others.
The seized funds will account for millions if not billions of pounds, generally used by the Brotherhood to finance terrorism and instability in the country.
