Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, said the government has successfully mobilized $9.5 billion between 2023 and 2026 to support the state budget and strengthen economic stability through the National Structural Reform Program.

Speaking at a press conference at the Cabinet headquarters, Al-Mashat explained that the funding reflects progress in implementing structural reforms aimed at enhancing fiscal resilience and sustaining economic recovery. She also announced the completion of the second edition of Egypt’s National Narrative for Economic and Social Development, in line with the timeline announced in September.

The minister noted that more than 100 experts, researchers, and think tanks participated in a broad societal dialogue shaping the updated narrative. She said the new edition places strong emphasis on human development and social justice, reaffirming that citizens remain the central driver and primary beneficiary of development efforts.

Al-Mashat added that Egypt is transitioning toward an economic model focused on improving quality of life through investment in human capital and strengthening productive sectors. The updated national narrative includes a detailed executive program with clear performance indicators for all ministries and government entities, aligned with the broader structural reform agenda.
