Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, met on Tuesday with the Kuwaiti Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Omar Al-Omar, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation in the tourism and cultural sectors.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 52nd meeting of the UN Tourism Regional Commission for the Middle East and its accompanying conference, currently being hosted by Kuwait.
The two ministers discussed several initiatives and projects aimed at supporting the tourism sector and fostering the exchange of expertise between the two nations.
These discussions reflect the depth of bilateral ties and the commitment to enhancing joint Arab action.
Furthermore, the talks focused on the importance of utilizing modern technology and media in tourism promotion.
Both sides highlighted the need to showcase the civilization and cultural assets of both countries to attract more tourists and bolster their national economies.
Concluding the meeting, both ministers expressed their aspirations to expand cooperation in the coming period through continuous coordination and the activation of partnerships that serve mutual interests and strengthen the brotherly relations between Egypt and Kuwait.
