The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and the Jordanian National Electricity Company (NEPCO) signed on Thursday a contract extension for the supply of natural gas, and another contract to expand the natural gas network in Jordan.
This comes on the sidelines of the visit of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla to Amman.
El-Molla held talks with his Jordanian counterpart Hala Zawati on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of oil, natural gas and mineral wealth, and both agreed that the Egyptian petroleum sector would train Jordanian cadres in the fields of concern.
On her part, the Jordanian Minister of Energy stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in the field of gas, praising the progress in relations between the two countries.
