Egypt and Italy will establish a new spiritual, religious and cultural project under the theme of the "Holy Route." The Vatican will contribute to the project as it is one of the major religious institutions in the world.
The project targets twinning between the Holy Family's Route in Egypt and several European cultural and spiritual routes including Italy's Saint Nicholas Walking Route.
The director of the new project Dr. Issa Iskandar told reports that the recent signed protocol will support Egypt's efforts in promoting the project of the Holy Family Journey in Europe and the whole world through targeting the churches that are part of sacred routes.
It can also contribute to increasing the number of tourist trips and journeys to the Holy Family's journey and flourishing the religious and spiritual tourism in Egypt.
Iskandar added that the European Institute of Cultural Routes reflected its interest in listing Egypt's Holy Family's Route.
A senior delegation from the council including its director Stefano Dominioni, and many Italian and Egyptian media persons will visit several spots of the Holy Family's Route.
