Egypt Hosts 9th Zayed Charity Marathon in New Administrative Capital

On Friday, Egypt's New Administrative Capital witnessed the ninth edition of the Zayed Charity Marathon.

The race featured over 50,000 participants of all age groups, racing for the 10-kilometer distance that extended from the Iconic Tower to Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque.

The total prizes estimated at EGP 20 million, in addition to 200 Religious Omrah trips. The proceeds were dedicated to the Children's Cancer Hospital (57357) in Cairo.

The race promoted the manners of charity, solidarity, and cooperation.

UAE's Minister of State of Youth Affairs Dr. Sultan Saif Al-Neyadi and Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, and other officials.

In the men's 10-kilometer category, Yasser Al-Shaashoui from Morocco, representing the Emirates Red Crescent, won the first place.

The second place was captured by Ismail Al-Khourshi, from Morocco, and Salem Mohammed Salem secured third place.

In the women's 10-kilometer category, Wafaa Zaroul captured the first place, followed by Yusra Nassour in second, and Amina Bakhit in third.

In the 4-kilometer Paralympic wheelchair racing category, Islam Abu Ali won first place, while Haitham Adel won the race in the Paralympic pedal wheelchair category.
