President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, his Cypriot counterpart Nicos Anastasiades, and Greek Prime Minister (PM) Kyriakos Mitsotakis witnessed on Tuesday the signing of a number of cooperation agreements in the fields of electricity and expatriates.
Egypt's Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Greek Minister of Environment and Energy, as well as Cypriot Minister of Energy, Trade, and Industry signed a cooperation agreement on cross-border electricity interconnection filed.
Moreover, Egypt's Immigration Minister Nabila Makram, Cypriot Presidential Commissioner, and Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs signed another agreement on expatriates' filed.
It is worth mentioing that, President Sisi arrived in Athens on Tuesday to hold talks with Greek Prime Minister (PM) Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades.
"The tripartite summit aims to build on achievements of the past eight summits, evaluate development in various areas of cooperation and follow up on projects being implemented within the framework of the trilateral cooperation mechanism," presidency spokesman Bassam Rady said.
Moreover, it aims to support and deepen political consultation among the three countries on ways to address current challenges facing the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean, the spokesman added.
