Egypt Government Excellence Award has announced the results of the judging committee of the first edition of Helwan' s University Internal Excellence Award in 2025, in collaboration with the Supreme Council of Universities. This marks the efforts of Egypt Government Excellence Award to promote a culture of institutional excellence within the Egyptian universities.
The results were announced during a meeting of the judging committee. Attendees of the meeting were Ambassador Hisham Badr, General Supervisor of Egypt Government Excellence Award; Ms. Soha Saeed, Executive Director of the award; Dr. Ahmed Seddik, Director of Evaluation and Quality; Prof. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University; Prof. Mona Hagrass, Assistant Secretary- General of the Supreme Council of Universities; as well as committee members: Prof. Ashraf Abd El- Basset, representing Hertfordshire University; and Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, former President of Tanta University.
The meeting reviewed the award journey at the university, which included training 24 Excellence Ambassadors and 14 internal evaluators, totaling over 2,300 training hours. It also covered desk evaluations and field visits to the eight participating faculties, amounting to more than 1,300 hours of assessment, culminating in final results and recommendations.
The judging process resulted in the qualification of three faculties (in no particular order) to represent Helwan University in the Egypt Government Excellence Award 2026: the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts, and Faculty of Mataria Engineering.
