Egypt will go through it's first friendly today when the nation faces Tanzania in one of two pre- African Cup of Nations friendlies at 9 pm local time.

Tanzania will take part in the African Nations Cup finals for the second time in their history and will be part of Group C in the tournament alongside Kenya, Algeria and Senegal.

Aguirre's team are not up against a major team in Africa before the tournament and will only play another match after Tanzania, which will be against Guinea on Sunday, June 16.

The Egyptian team has a squad that is not fully accepted by the entire Egyptian public. There were some disqualified names from the list that caused controversy, while others were questionably chosen.

The Tanzanian team is led by Emmanuel Amunike, the star of Zamalek in the 1990s and a former Barcelona player, who also wants to test his team and their ability before he gets to meet Algeria, Senegal and Kenya in the group stage.
