Egypt Deliveres 1,400 Tablets to Djibouti to Implement Population Census Project

Khaled El Shazly, Ambassador of Egypt to Djibouti delivered 1,400 tablets to the Djibouti Ministry of Economy and Finance.

This came within the framework of coordination between the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Egypt and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) to cooperate with Djibouti to implement the third general population census project in Djibouti for the year 2024.

On this occasion, the Egyptian ambassador stated that Djibouti's success in counting the general population census would contribute to achieving economic and social development in the country, as the statistical data that would result from the survey would be of utmost importance to enable the Djiboutian authorities to implement ambitious development plans on sound scientific foundations.

He added that the Djiboutian government's interest in conducting this population census confirms its seriousness in implementing the established plans and policies, and that Egypt is pleased to have a role in helping to implement this important work.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated , Sunday, on its official page - that the Minister of Economy and Finance of Djibouti Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt’s response to provide his country’s needs for electronic tablets, looking forward to further cooperation between the two countries, especially in areas of planning and economic development.
