Egypt Conveys Condolences to Russia Following Tragic Shooting

Egypt's Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, engaged in a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, on Saturday, March 23. During the call, Shoukry extended Egypt’s deepest condolences for the tragic shooting incident that occurred near Moscow, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries.

Ahmed Abou Zeid, the spokesperson and Director of Public Diplomacy at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, disclosed details of the conversation, highlighting Egypt's firm stance against violence and terrorism. Shoukry reiterated Egypt’s strong condemnation and total rejection of all forms of violence and terror, expressing Cairo's full support and solidarity with Moscow during these challenging times.

Lavrov expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Shoukry’s outreach, commending the enduring friendship and close ties between the two nations at various levels. The mutual support between Egypt and Russia, especially in the face of challenges, was evident and underscored the depth of the bilateral relations.

This conversation not only reflects the strong diplomatic relations between Egypt and Russia but also underscores the global consensus on the need for peace and the collective rejection of violence and terrorism.
