Egypt condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a school in Mpondwe, in western Uganda, leaving dozens killed and injured.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry expressed sincere condolences to the Ugandan government, people as well as relatives of the victims of the heinous attack, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
The victims included the students, one guard, and two members of the local community who were killed outside the school, Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Mayor Selevest Mapoze said. An unknown number of people were abducted by the rebels, who fled across the porous border into Congo after the raid on Friday night.
