Egypt has strongly condemned the heinous terrorist blast that took place, Monday, in Sadr City neighborhood of Baghdad and resulted in the death and injury of dozens of innocent and defenseless civilians.
In a statement, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered sincere condolences to the Iraqi government and people, as well as the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
Moreover, Egypt reaffirmed its full support to Iraq and its efforts to protect its security and stability, urging all parties to give priority to the supreme interest of Iraq.
It is worth mentioning that, an explosion killed at least 28 people and wounded dozens in a crowded market in the Sadr city neighborhood of Baghdad on Monday, police and hospital sources said.
