Egypt has strongly condemned Israel’s decision to resume land registration procedures in the occupied West Bank, according to a breaking report aired by Cairo News Channel.
The Egyptian condemnation described the move as a serious escalation and a violation of international law, warning that such measures undermine Palestinian rights and threaten prospects for a just and comprehensive peace. Cairo stressed that unilateral actions altering the legal and administrative status of occupied Palestinian territories are illegitimate and have no legal effect.
Egypt reaffirmed its longstanding position rejecting all Israeli policies aimed at consolidating occupation or imposing new facts on the ground in the West Bank, emphasizing that these actions contradict international resolutions and the principles underpinning the two-state solution.
Cairo has repeatedly called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in halting illegal practices in the occupied Palestinian territories and to work toward a political settlement that guarantees the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
