Egypt has strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on Al-Maamadani Hospital in the Gaza Strip, describing them as a grave violation of international humanitarian law and all established international norms.
In an official statement, Egypt called for the immediate cessation of all Israeli assaults on Gaza and demanded the urgent entry of humanitarian and relief aid for the people of the besieged Strip.
The statement warned that the current situation poses a looming humanitarian catastrophe, for which Israel bears full responsibility.
Egypt also urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and intervene immediately to halt the flagrant aggression on Gaza.
The statement emphasized the need to activate mechanisms of international law and the United Nations Charter, and to take necessary actions to stop the attacks, especially in light of ongoing regional and international efforts aimed at achieving de-escalation and reinstating a ceasefire agreement.
