The curtain came down on the National Angling Championship in Alexandria, capping off several days of intense competition, wide participation, and professional organization.
The event was organized by the Egyptian Sport Fishing Federation in cooperation with the Egyptian Shooting Club in Alexandria and the Yacht Club, attracting 81 anglers from 24 teams across the country.
The championship featured two main categories: “Bottom Fishing (Tasqeet)” and “Trolling, Jigging & Casting.” The event created a festive atmosphere while promoting sportsmanship and environmental awareness.
Tasqeet Category Results:
The prize for the largest fish in the Tasqeet category went to Judy Hani Shehab of the Egyptian Shooting Club (Team H - Women), who caught a 1.1 kg camel fish.
