Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea said the Egyptian exports and imports to the African market have witnessed significant progress in the last few years.

Gamea revealed that many Egyptian companies have been investing in the heart of the continent. They included middle-income countries –Senegal, Cameroon, and South Sudan.

"Egypt's ties with African nations "have witnessed significant progress this year," she revealed.

"We are actively seeking further cooperation with the African countries," the minister said.

"There will be also substantial investment in Iraq, and Jordan, where the people are familiar with Egyptian products."

The minister made the remarks during a telephone interview with the renowned TV program (Salat El-Tahrir) on Sada Elbald channel.

It's worth mentioning that most of the investment in African nations had gone into capital-intensive, technology, agriculture, and service industries.

From Egypt, such a move is not surprising, as Egypt-Africa relationships flourished at least four years ago under the mantra of "The Africa We Want".
