Two Israeli tourists died and 7 others were injured in a traffic accident on the Nuweiba-Dahab road, in front of the entrance to Nuweiba port, on their way back from a vacation in Sinai.

Director of South Sinai Security department Sherif Raouf had received a report from the Nuweiba Operations Room stating that the tourist micro-bus had crashed in a van, which resulted in the death of Israeli tourists, Moshe Matan Luzon, 26 years, and Yuval Keshet, 24 years old, while 7 others sustained injuries ranging from cuts, fractures and bruises.

Reports said that the collision occurred at the beginning of the Al-Safidah area, where the tourist's micro-bus coming from Dahab, with the driver attempting to overtake another car, collided with the transport vehicle, which resulted in the death of the Israelis and the injury of 7 others who were returning from Dahab.

The injured were transferred to the urban center in Nuweiba, and the Public Prosecution office was notified to take over the investigation.

The Israeli tourists injured were then evacuated from Egypt's Sinai peninsula to Israel through the Taba crossing.
