The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) won three awards at the annual conference of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM).
The awards were granted in the following categories:
The best Arab stock exchange in terms of annual growth of market cap.
The best Arab stock exchange in terms of the number of new investors.
The best Arab stock exchange in terms of market cap turnover.
Ahmed El-Sheikh, EGX Chairman received the awards at a ceremony held by the AFCM, as part of its annual conference in April 2024.
El-Sheikh stated that these awards reflect the strong and distinguished performance of the Egyptian Stock Exchange in 2023 and its ability to overcome the challenges it faced.
The Chairman of the Stock Exchange added: “I extend my thanks to all the employees of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, the Egyptian brokerage companies, and all the elements of the financial market in Egypt for their hard work to put the EGX in the position it deserves. I also extend my thanks to all the Egyptian, regional and international investors for their confidence in the Egyptian market.”
