The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) indices rose collectively at the end of today's session, Wednesday, with the main index rising and settling at 31,250.6 points, with the market cap recording market gains of EGP 31 billion.
The main index of the stock exchange "EGX30" rose by 1.23% to settle at 31,250.6 points, and the share of Commercial International Bank (CIB), which has the largest relative weight in the main index, recorded a 0.42% increase to settle at EGP 85.36.
The market cap achieved market gains of EGP 31 billion during the transactions, closing at EGP 2.142 trillion.
The new Sharia-compliant EGX33 index rose by 1.88% to settle at 3050.5 points.
The EGX70 EWI of small and medium enterprises Index rose by 1.18% to close at 7420.5 points, while the broader EGX100 Equal Weight Index rose by 1.31% to close at 10563.7 points.
Trading took place on 1.6 billion shares, with a trading value of EGP 4.68 billion through 107.9 thousand transactions, through trading on 213 shares during the session, of which 132 shares rose, 44 shares declined, and 37 shares remained unchanged.
In terms of investor trading, Arabs alone tended to buy shares with a net value of EGP 121.5 million, while Egyptians and foreigners tended to sell with a net Value of EGP 116.7 million and EGP 4.8 million respectively.
Net institutional transactions tended towards buying, with the exception of foreign institutions, which recorded net sales of EGP 1.4 million, while net individual transactions tended towards selling, with the exception of Arabs, who recorded net purchases of EGP 5.2 million.
