In a phone conversation with the journalist Ahmed Moussa for the Sada al-Balad channel, Awad stated that an earthquake in Turkey and Syria is predicted for March 8 based on physical calculations.
The recent destructive earthquakes that struck the two countries in February are expected to be more harmful than this one.
The Anatolian plate, according to Awad, is fragile and dangerous, and it has experienced more than 200 shocks as a result of the disastrous earthquakes in February.
