The exchange rate of the dollar fell against the Egyptian pound at the end of trading on Wednesday, after recording its highest level ever, at about EGP 32.
The official rate of the dollar recorded EGP 29.63 to buy and EGP 29.76 to sell at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), after recording more than EGP 32, earlier on the market.
The euro recorded EGP 31.79 to buy and EGP 31.95 to sell, while the pound Sterling rose to EGP 35.9 to buy, and EGP 36.06 to sell.
In Banque Misr and the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) the price of the dollar fell to EGP 29.75 to buy, and EGP 29.8 to sell at the end of the day, compared to EGP 32 to buy, and EGP 32.05 to sell in the mid trading.
In Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Egypt, it fell to EGP 31.8 to buy and 31.9 to sell at the end of trading, compared to EGP 32.11 to buy, and 32.15 to sell in the middle of the day.
The exchange rate of the dollar in the Commercial International Bank (CIB) recorded EGP 31.5 to buy, and EGP 31.6 to sell, earlier in the trading.
In the Egyptian Gulf Bank, it fell to EGP 29.5 to buy, and EGP 29.6 to sell, after it recorded levels above EGP 30.
