Dollar Declines against Egyptian Pound by End of Trading

The exchange rates of foreign and Arab currencies declined against the Egyptian pound at the end of trading on Sunday and the beginning of weekly trading in Egyptian banks.

The decision to flexibility the exchange rate means liberalizing the exchange rate and leaving it to the market forces “supply and demand” while raising the return rate to limit dollarization, unreal demand, and speculation on foreign currency.

The price of the dollar fell between 10 and 15 piasters, bought and sold in Egyptian banks.

In the two largest banks in terms of assets and transactions - the National Bank of Egypt - the dollar exchange rate recorded EGP 46.54 pounds to buy, and EGP 46.64 pounds to sell, and in the Banque Misr, it recorded EGP 46.53 pounds to buy, and EGP 46.63 to sell.

In private banks, the price of the dollar in the Commercial International Bank (CIB) recorded EGP 46.54 pounds to buy, and EGP 46.64 to sell.

At the Central Bank of Egypt - average prices of the dollar against the Egyptian pound recorded EGP 46.50 to buy, and EGP 46.60 to sell.

As for the major currencies, the exchange rates of the European currency “Euro” recorded a decline between 10 and 12 piasters for buying and selling in Egyptian banks.

At NBE, the price of the euro recorded EGP 50.27 to buy, and EGP 50.68 to sell.

At Banque Misr, it recorded EGP 50.26 to buy, and EGP 50.67 to sell.

In private banks, the price of the euro at the Commercial International Bank recorded EGP 50.27 to buy, and EGP 50.69 to sell.

At the Central Bank of Egypt - the European currency recorded EGP 50.25 to buy, and EGP 50.37 to sell.

The exchange rate of the British pound declined between 13 and 20 piasters for buying and selling in Egyptian banks.

At the National Bank - Sterling recorded EGP 58.52 to buy, and EGP 59.11 to sell.

At Banque Misr, the sterling recorded EGP 58.51 to buy, and EGP 59.10 to sell.

In private banks, the pound recorded at the Commercial International Bank at EGP 58.52 to buy, and EGP 59.11 to sell.

At the Central Bank of Egypt - the pound sterling recorded EGP 59.60 to buy, and EGP 59.74 to sell.

In the Arab world - the Saudi riyal recorded at the NBE EGP 12.40 to buy, and EGP 12.43 to sell.

The UAE dirham recorded EGP 12.68 to buy, and EGP 12.70 to sell.

The Kuwaiti dinar recorded EGP 150.63 to buy, and EGP 151.66 to sell.
