The Syrian Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghobash, announced that death toll of earthquake has risen to 1,262 and 2,285 others were injured.
Al-Ghobash said - in a statement today, Wednesday, according to the Syrian News Agency - that the ambulances and medical teams have been working at their maximum capacity for more than 55 hours to reach all the victims, pull them out from under the rubble, and transfer the injured to hospitals to provide treatment as quickly as possible.
He added that until today, rescue teams are pulling out people who are alive under the rubble, noting that around the clock, trucks loaded with medicines and surgical and emergency supplies are sent to Aleppo, Latakia, and Hama, in addition to sending medical convoys from various governorates.
