Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed deep concern over the resumption of hostilities in Gaza, which has resulted in civilian casualties, including humanitarian workers.
The ministry emphasized the necessity of fully respecting International Humanitarian Law in all circumstances.
Highlighting the critical role of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in delivering life-saving aid to civilians, Cyprus extended its condolences to the entire UN community.
The ministry also reiterated its support for the resumption of negotiations to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
Such measures, it stated, would guarantee the release of all hostages and allow for the unimpeded flow of humanitarian assistance to those in need.
