The Indian Ministry of Health announced on Monday that the number of Coronavirus cases recorded in the country has reached nearly 20 million, after recording more than 300,000 new cases for the twelfth consecutive day.
The Indian Ministry of Health stated that 368,147 new cases were recorded during the past twenty-four hours, and the total number of cases in India has reached 19.93 million, meanwhile, 3,417 new deaths were recorded bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 218959.
Earlier, The Indian authorities decided to extend the lockdown in the capital, New Delhi, for a week to confront the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
India registers nowadays a record increase in the daily coronavirus cases, at a time when several countries continued to suspend travel with New Delhi while urging their citizens to leave the country, which recorded nearly 400 thousand cases during the past twenty-four hours.
