CNN: Doctors at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza Refuse to Evacuate

CNN, a US news network, revealed that doctors at Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip refused to evacuate it, as Israel demands, due to fears of the death of about 700 patients.

One of the doctors at the hospital said: "The problem is not with the doctors but with the patients.

He warned that if the medical crews leave them, the patients will die, and if they are transported, they will die on the way. This is the problem. We are talking about 700 patients."

CNN reported, quoting the hospital director, that “in addition to 1,500 patients and employees, the hospital houses about 7,000 people.”

Earlier today, Monday, the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, announced “a catastrophe occurring in hospitals in the Gaza Strip,” noting that “patients are now dying without receiving their treatments.”

Al-Kaila said, in a press statement, that “those who die are dialysis patients, children and the elderly, without receiving dialysis sessions,” confirming that atrocities occurred in hospitals in the Gaza Strip, especially the Al-Shifa Medical Complex.
