A Civil Defense spokesman in the Gaza Strip reported that the Israeli army had wiped out entire residential blocks in the Strip that bodies were littered in the streets, and that the injured could not be reached.
Mahmoud Basal said, in an interview with the Emirati news website “Erm News”: “Many martyrs and wounded are lying in the streets of Gaza after the Israeli army targeted several residential areas, most notably the Al-Sabra area in the center of the city.”
Basal added: "The Al-Sabra area was targeted with a barrage of missiles and fire belts, and houses were leveled to the ground above the heads of their residents.
He pointed out that the crews of Civil Defense in the Strip do not know the number of victims and wounded due to our inability to reach the targeted places."
The spokesman continued: " Palestinian Citizens cannot leave their homes. The Israeli army is targeting those who remain, either with missile strikes or by shooting through snipers and drones. Everyone is threatened with death."
He warned that "there is no place for the wounded to go except the Indonesian hospital, which exceeds its capacity as a hospital that only serves the residents of the north, and therefore dealing with the wounded is very difficult."
