The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) held a panel session for the star Lebleba, who won the Golden Pyramid Award for Lifetime Achievement.

During the symposium moderated by director Amir Ramses, Lebleba expressed her happiness to be honored at the 44th CIFF after her long career in cinema, TV, and theater.

Lebleba talked about her artistic beginning and how she discovered her talent, asserting that her family encouraged her to enter the entertainment industry after seeing her imitation of relatives in her home.

Then, the legendary star recalled her first meeting with Scriptwriter Abu Al-Saud Al-Ebiary and Director Niazi Mustafa, adding that they had an important role in her artistic career.

In addition, Lebleba noted that actor Anwar Wagdy was hidden by glasses and entered one of the theaters in which she was working in Alexandria and asked to see her through director Hassan Al-Saifi.

Lebleba affirmed that she had worked with many directors throughout her artistic career, such as Atef El Tayeb, Samir Seif, Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Youssef Chahine, and others. The actress asserted that she had learned a lot from them, which helped her in her continuous development.

For his part, Hussein Fahmy, President of 44th CIFF, stated that the festival's Supreme Committee had unanimously agreed to honor Lebleba due to her great history that deserves to be celebrated.

Elham Shaheen thanked the management of the CIFF for choosing to honor Lebleba, emphasizing that she is the most honest artist in the industry. Shaheen added that Lebleba is an unprecedented comprehensive star.

Laila Elwi said that Lebleba is one of the distinguished artists as she is the same as her in her beginnings in the industry, adding that she was always keen to preserve her work, which was number one in her life following the death of her mother.

In the same vein, Actor Mahmoud Hamida called for registering Lebleba’s history in the Guinness World Records, because she is an artist who has no equal in the world.

Hamida also highlighted the actress’ massive entry into the entertainment industry since her childhood, lauding her presence within the art scene as well as her position and her fitness to this time.
