Chinese President Xi Jinping left Beijing on Tuesday, heading to Russia to attend the 16th BRICS summit scheduled to be held in the city of Kazan at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
China Global Television Network (CGTN) reported, in its English-language bulletin, that Chinese President is accompanied by a high level delegation.
The 2024 BRICS summit is scheduled to begin its work later today.
