Chinese authorities will begin imposing tariffs on goods coming from the United States tomorrow, Monday.
According to the European platform "De Presse", Sunday, the energy sector is particularly affected, but the United States will not be hit hard, as the Americans supply China with large quantities of crude oil.
The Chinese government imposed these restrictions in response to the recent trade restrictions imposed by President Donald Trump, and a few days ago, goods coming from the People's Republic of China became subject to a 10% tax at the border with the United States.
The platform explained that the Chinese response can be classified as relatively moderate.
According to the analysis company "Capital Economics", the American sanctions are much more severe than the Chinese sanctions, and while China is only affected by the volume of its imports from the United States, which amounts to about $ 20 billion, China is affected 22 times.
Beijing is particularly targeting energy exports from the United States: 15% tariffs are scheduled to be imposed on coal and liquefied natural gas and 10% on crude oil, but China does not depend on the United States for oil.
