On Thursday, Chinese authorities announced detecting several infections with the spreading Indian local variant in several Chinese cities.
The Chief Epidemiologist of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) Wu Zunyou told CGTN that China is capable of controlling the outbreak of the new variant.
He asserted the necessity of applying the protective medical measures against the virus outbreak especially during the upcoming national celebrations such as the Workers’ Day.
It is worthy to mention that India has reported a new global record for daily number of infections, in addition, the situation is going worse in the state after the total collapse of the medical system.
The state urged all world countries to provide it with liquid, breathable oxygen tanks, containers, vaccines, drugs, and medical devices.
The World Health Organization (WHO) describes the situation in India as “Heartbreaking.”
