Animal lovers in Egypt get ready for a new adventure!

The Russian comedy movie "Chebi: My Fluffy Friend Cheburashka", was released in Egyptian cinemas on Wednesday, March 8, by Four Star Films, which is managing the movie's distribution in Egypt.

The movie is an adaptation of the 1960s Eduard Uspensky's children's book "Gena the Crocodile and His Friends". It follows an orange, obsessed, fuzzy creature with enormous ears, a short tail, and medium-sized paws named Chebi that arrives at a quiet coastal town and starts a new life there.

The movie was directed by Dmitriy Dyachenko and features an all-Russian cast, including Olga Kuzmina — who voices Chebi — as well as Sergei Garmash, Fyodor Dobronravov, and Elena Yakovleva.

"Chebi: My Fluffy Friend Cheburashka" follows A comical creature with enormous ears and a penchant for oranges who turns up in a quiet seaside town and begins an endearing adventure in which he will find friends, a home, and a name.

He will be helped and hindered along the way by a grumpy old gardener, a spoiled little girl and her fashionista grandmother, a boy with delayed speech development and his mother, who makes the tastiest chocolate in the world), and a whole other characters whose lives will be touched by magic and adventure.
