Today, the ceremony of the inauguration of the new Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi starts at Imam Khomeini's Husseiniya in Tehran, the capital city of Iran.
A number of Iranian and foreign officials are attending the ceremony.
According to the official website of the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the ceremony starts with reading the decree issued by the leader to authorize the results of the 13th round of the presidential election in Iran held last June.
The ceremony is mounted with the precautionary health measurements related to the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19).
"Russia Today" correspondent in Tehran revealed that heads of the three authorities in Iran and the Chairman of the Guardian Council, the Chairman of the Expediency Council, and the outgoing President Hassan Rouhani, along with a number of ministers of his outgoing government, as well as a number of current and former officials will attend the ceremony.
During the ceremony, the Interior minister will explain the course of the elections and reads the text of the ruling approving the people's vote and the inauguration of a major president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Then the newly –inaugurated President of the Republic will deliver a speech, after which the audience will listen to the speech of Ayatollah Khamenei.
On Monday, the presidential body of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly ( IICA-Parliament) revealed the details of the swearing-in ceremony for the elected president, Ibrahim Raisi.
Nizamuddin Mousavi, a spokesman for the (II CA) added that 115 officials came from 73 countries across the world have announced their readiness so far to participate in the ceremonial swearing-in of the constitutional oath of the elected president."
He referred to the presence of 10 heads of state, 20 parliament speakers, 11 foreign ministers, 10 other ministers and representatives of heads of government, and deputy speakers of parliaments, according to the Iranian "Tasnim Agency".
He continued to say that officials of 11 international and regional organizations, the delegate of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of OPEC and officials from the IPU, the European Union, Eurasia, the Association of Parliaments of Islamic and Asian Countries will participate in the ceremony."
