The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) revealed, during its monthly inflation analysis, that the monthly headline urban CPI inflation recorded 1% in October 2023 compared to 2.6% in the same month of the previous year and to 2% in September.
Accordingly, the annual headline inflation rate recorded 35.8% in October 2023, compared to 38% in September 2023.
Monthly core CPI inflation, computed by the Central Bank of Egypt, recorded 1.8% in October 2023 compared to 3% in the same month of the previous year and to 1.1% in September.
Moreover, the annual core inflation rate recorded 38.1% in October 2023, compared to 39.7% in September 2023.
