The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) confirmed on Sunday that remittances from Egyptians working abroad recorded a 10.6% increase during the July/January period by about $1.7 billion.
CBE stated that remittances from Egyptians working abroad increased to record about $18.1 billion compared to about $16.3 billion during the fiscal year 2019/20.
However, data showed a slight decrease in those remittances during January 2021 by $116.8 million to record about $2.54 billion, compared to about $2.65 billion, year-on-year.
