CBE Confirms Availability of Dollar Resources in Sufficient Quantities

Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met this evening at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, Hassan Abdullah, Governor of the Central Bank, to follow up on a number of files.

Mohamed El-Homsany, the official spokesman for the cabinet said that the Prime Minister's meeting with the Governor of the Central Bank followed up on the developments related to dollar flows from their various sources, where it was confirmed in this context that the country's foreign exchange reserves are available at very reassuring levels.

"El-Homsany" added that it was confirmed during the meeting that the availability of dollar resources in sufficient quantities has had a positive impact on providing various basic commodities to citizens in parallel with providing production requirements for factories.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers indicated that the meeting witnessed an emphasis on continuing efforts to increase dollar proceeds and continuing coordination between the government and the Central Bank to ensure maintaining a flexible and unified exchange rate for foreign currency.

In this context, Madbouly praised the Governor of the Central Bank for the efforts made during the past period, and the continuous coordination regarding the provision of dollar needs, to provide a reassuring stock of various goods, petroleum products, and production requirements for factories.
