CAPMAS: Egypt's Imports Grew by 7.3% in 11 Months to $86.6 Billion

The latest reports of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) showed an increase in the value of Egyptian imports from various countries of the world.

Those imports reached $86.6 billion during the first 11 months of 2022, compared to $80.7 billion during the same period in 2021, an increase of $5.9 billion, with an increase of 7.3. %.

The top 10 countries that exported to Egypt during the first 11 months of 2022

1-China, $13.2 billion.

2- Saudi Arabia, with a value of $7.3 billion.

3-USA with a value of $6.3 billion.

4- India, $3.9 billion.

5- Russia, worth $3.7 billion.

6-Germany, with $3.6 billion.

7-Turkey, with a value of $3.4 billion.

8-Brazil, $3.3 billion.

9-Kuwait, with a value of $3.2 billion.

10-Italy, worth $3.1 billion.

These countries account for 58.8% of the total value of Egyptian imports to various countries of the world, at a value of $50.9 billion, during the first 11 months of 2022.

The top ten commodities imported by Egypt during the first 10 months of 2022

1- Petroleum products with a value of $6.6 billion.

2- Raw materials of iron or steel, worth $4.8 billion

3-Plastics in their primary forms, with a value of $4.4 billion.

4- Crude oil, with a value of $4.3 billion.

5- Wheat, worth $3.9 billion.

6-Organic and inorganic chemicals worth $3.6 billion.

7-Medicines and pharmaceuticals worth $3.4 billion.

8- Corn, worth $2.7 billion.

9- Soybeans, worth $2.6 billion.

10- Cars - $1.7 Billion

These commodities account for 44% of the total value of Egyptian imports to various countries of the world, at a value of $38.1 billion, during the first 11 months of 2022.
