Disneyland may reopen in California a matter of weeks, nearly a year after it first closed its doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Theme parks, including Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood, may be able to reopen at a reduced capacity beginning April 1, according to the state health officials.
The Walt Disney Company announced shortly after the announcement that Disneyland and California Adventure would be opening soon.
In a statement, Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said: "We are encouraged that theme parks now have a path toward reopening this spring, putting thousands of people back to work and significantly benefiting neighborhood businesses and our entire community."
