In a bid to build bridges of intellectual communication between Egypt and Turkey, the Cairo Opera House is organizing a concert entitled "From the Bosphorus to the Nile."
The concert will feature musicians including Doaa Saber (flute), Yasmine Sami Ibrahim and Adham Sabry (violin), Suzan Saber (viola), Mohamed Ahmed (cello), Amr Seif (double bass), and Radwa El-Behairy (percussion). The concert will take place at 8:30 pm on Monday, May 20, at the Small Hall.
The program will include a selection of Egyptian and Turkish compositions in the form of chamber music.
This will include "Sama’i Nahawand" for string quartet by Shadi Hanna, "White Miniatures" by Ramz Sabri Sami, the first string quartet by Ahmed Adnan, a rhapsody for flute and string quartet by Rajeh Daoud, and a small sequence for quartet.
Additionally, the program will feature "Al-Watari" (Imitation - Sankoub - Complaint - Propaganda) by Jamal Abdel Rahim, as well as works prepared by Ozhan Balci, including "Karahisa Castle," "Sultan Agha Serto" by Saad Aşılay, and "Uskudar (Katipem), Nahavand Lunga" by Kemeni Kevser Ha.
