Customs authorities at Cairo International Airport, headed by Dr. Maged Moussa, Head of the Central Administration, recently foiled 25 smuggling attempts of foreign and Egyptian passengers in the first half of the month, continuing the unprecedented series of achievements of the administration.

The smuggling attempts involved items such as drugs, weapons, binoculars, elephant ivory, medicines, lenses, telephones, and dental supplies.

The Cairo airport customs staff carried out their duties in a sophisticated manner, dealing with passengers, both citizens and foreigners amidst great and distinguished effort of all departments in the central administration, whether those in charge of inspection.

This was accomplished in cooperation and harmony with the morning departments including the legal, technical and financial affairs and deposit and reservations departments, and with the continuous follow-up by Al-Shahat Ghatouri, Head of the Customs Authority, and support and assistance from Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance.
