CAF Super League to Kick off on October 20

The newly established CAF Super League will take place between October 20, and November 11, the South African Football Association revealed on Friday.

African Super League headquarter will be in Kigali, Rwanda, after the CAF approved a strategic partnership between the newly established competition and the African country, according to Zephanie Niyonkuru, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports.

Niyonkuru told "Weekend Sport": “It is true that the African Super League will have headquarters in Kigali. More details will be communicated in due course, probably in the coming two weeks.”

8 teams will participate in the inaugural edition of the tournament and they include Petro de Luanda from Angola, TP Mazembe from Democratic Republic of Congo, Egyptian giants Al Ahly, Guinean powerhouse Horoya, Wydad Casablanca of Morocco, Simba Sports Club of Tanzania, Esperance de Tunis of Tunisia and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
